Thank you for your question. Yes, you need to call your previous provider to cancel your service with them. Bell can not and does not do that for you.

I'm a new Bell home internet subscriber. I'm having problems canceling my service with my previous home internet provider (Start.ca); they want a password from years back as a security question to cancel my account. The CRTC recommends getting the new service provider to inform the previous service provider of the switch. Can Bell help me cancel my home internet service with Start.ca?

Hi there @Alex_T, thanks for your post and welcome to the Bell Community.
When transferring your service to Bell, at the time you place your new service order you need to provide all of the necessary information required to transfer your existing services on your behalf so that we can check for eligibility.
If your new installation order is already complete we would not be able to submit a cancellation request on your behalf, and you will need to formally cancel with your previous provider directly.
Have a nice day,
- Patricia

Good Day & Welcome to the bell Community Forum.

You will need to contact Rogers to cancel your internet service. They will need to speak with you directly in order to process your cancellation request and ensure you are informed of any details relating to your account changes. If you have any rental equipment, you will need to return this equipment to Rogers. I have included the phone number for Rogers below.

Rogers Internet: 1 855 201-9547

Take care.
