Bell advertises new customers at $56 a month for two years which is a saving of $25 a month. The $81 a month regular rate ($56 plus $25) is $15 a month less than the rate they bill me.

Why is Bell taking advantage of loyal established customers by charging them so much more than new customers?

Good Day & Welcome

Bell, along with other major telecommunications providers in Canada, offers promotions to new customers. These promotions act as "loss-leaders" designed to expand market share. The expectation is that these customers will remain after the promotional period. These promotions are generally competitive, limited time offers for new customers having specific terms and conditions attached to them. At the end of the promotion, the price may increase.

From time to time, Bell does offer loyalty, promotional & bundling discounts on many of their products and services to its established customer base. Many of these offers are available for viewing on the MyBell website.

This being a community website, I can only suggest that you contact Bell Customer Service to discuss further savings opportunities. Please call: 1 866 310-BELL (2355) or dial *611 from any Bell mobile device.

Take care.

Thanks @WelshTerrier. I do understand the approach. My issue is the claim that the new customer price is $25 below the regular price. This makes the claimed regular price $81 when I am being charged $96. How many regular prices can they have? I will invest the time and contact Bell. Easy solution is to terminate the service and sign up as a new customer. Looks like every customer should do this.
