I paid $200 for AppleCare on my iPhone and when the screen broke Apple charged me almost $50 for “service fee”. I was annoyed to pay a service fee for a warranty repair until I found out it would of cost me almost $500 to fix the screen without AppleCare.

so at the end I paid $250 and saved $500. I got my money’s worth and I still have more time on my warranty that covers me if I have another accident.

It’s almost like car insurance deductible. You pay monthly premiums then you pay them deductible to fix your insured car….
