receiving spam texts from an email address; can't block?

I've been receiving phishing attempts and scam text messages from email addresses. As in, instead of a phone number being the source, it's an email address. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy A5 from 2016/17 and there is no option to block the sender -- the option just isn't there, unlike with texts from actual phone numbers.

What can I do to prevent this in the future? If nothing, are there plans from Bell or other telecom companies to deal with this? My only option at this point is to turn off notifications from each individual email address as I receive spam from them. It's tiresome and ridiculous, and these scummy scammers are using this tactic because they KNOW the regular block function doesn't work on emails.

Receiving 2FA Codes without Attempting a sign-in

Hi,

I have been receiving 2FA (Two factor authorization) codes without me having attempted to sign-in. What should I do?

Normally, with 2FA, the account holder signs-in and is told to check their text messages for an access code which is only sent to the phone number that Bell has on file for that person. I have received two text messages with 2FA codes, but I did NOT attempt to sign-in to my Bell account. This implies that someone else has my user ID and has attempted to use it. But (hopefully) when the 2FA code was sent to me, they didn't receive it and weren't able to access my account.

What should I do (if anything)?
