Here is an update. The scheduled shutdown for 30 minutes every 6 hours only kept it running for 13 days. I changed to a shutdown (wall plug power off) for 15 minutes every 3 hours and this has (so far) done the trick, its been running fine for 25 days and counting.

I need internet at my cottage but only cell service is available, so I signed up with Bell for mobile internet. I wanted the Orbi 4G LTE Advanced Tri-band router but it wasn't available. So the Bell agent signed me up for an Inseego MiFi X Pro 5G mobile internet device. Unfortunately due to some arcane battery management protocol, this thing shuts down after 2-3 days of being plugged in continuously. I am not the only one with this issue as there are lots of complaints on Reddit (seemingly all from the US where T-mobile sells the same device). It is clearly not intended for a base station application. Has anyone here had similar problems with one of these on the Bell network? Was there an easy solution?

Hi there, @NR28. Welcome to the Bell Community, and thank you for your post.

As a potential workaround, have you tried changing the mobile hotspot's "5G Network Mode" setting to NSA?

Otherwise as it does sound like a hardware issue, we would recommend reaching out to the manufacturer for any repairs or warranty claims. Take a look at Inseego Support for more info on how to contact them.

Let us know if you have any further questions.
