      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi &lt;a href="https://forum.bell.ca/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/887"&gt;@ZaneP&lt;/a&gt;, I have just had my modem replaced, I went from 500Mbps to 3Gbps, this needed a modem replacement, on the old modem I had a custom SSID and PW with a static IP for my NAS, after the replacement I still see my old SSID shown but with the new speeds, when I try to login into the portal (192.168.2.1) using the old password it fails, I try using the new S/N of the new modem and still fails. I have factory reset 3 times using your link from bell but after the reset the SSID stays as my old SSID and the portal still doesn’t work. Any thoughts?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://forum.bell.ca/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/1374255873"&gt;@Networkingnoob&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Bell replaced your modem with the GigaHub, I assume.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm not entirely clear on a few things you wrote:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;How are you seeing the old SSID (or any SSID) without an admin login to the portal?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;A new modem will have the default SSID issued by Bell, not the "old (custom) one"&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Did you reset the modem to factory default by doing it on the modem itself, as shown in&amp;nbsp;&lt;A title="this link?" href="https://support.bell.ca/internet/connection-help/home-hub-4000-modem.how_to_reset_my_home_hub_4000_Giga_Hub_modem_to_factory" target="_self"&gt;this link?&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;The reset should clear any existing modem admin password, and default to the S/N sticker on the box, as in&amp;nbsp;&lt;A title="this link" href="https://support.bell.ca/internet/connection-help/manage_bell_usernames_and_passwords?step=2#step2" target="_self"&gt;this link&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;. You should be able to log into the modem portal and change the admin password.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope this helps a little.       <description>&lt;P&gt;The SSID shown when trying to connect to the wifi in settings, when I open 192.168.2.1 it shows my old SSID in the web portal. I used the reset as per your link above and still shows my old SSID afterwards it’s confused me a bit. I’ll have to reach out to bell. Thanks&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Try "admin" as password, without the "".&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;There's also a bug with the 4000, where it retrieves some of the old information when hooking up a new modem, like the WiFi configuration.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Also make sure to log in using a wired connection, just to make sure it's not a WiFi issue.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I don't think there's a fix yet. I have seen others report similar situations.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I know myself I went through a few home hub 3000's and on 1 it "remembered" my settings while on other it did not.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
