Maybe there's something else going on.

Go to This site and click on "or your own IP" just above the "check in blacklists" button.

Wait about 20 to 40 seconds, and it will provide a list of any blacklist that exists against the IP you are using. It should come clear with green checkmarks across the board.

I just talked with another agent about an issue, and they told me to reset my modem. But I've been doing that every day and the same issue keeps happening the following day. My IP address has been BLACKLISTED from half the websites on the internet and PlayStation online services. When I try to visit something as simple as my banking website, it's says "we blocked your request because the IP address you're using looks suspicious" or for PlayStation it'll say "access denied". I can't use any online service for PlayStation Gaming and half the websites including the CIBC bank app and PlayStation will not let me in. Apparently my IP address is fishy or "compromised" What can be done to solve this?? I was told my IP address cannot be manually changed by bell and if that's the case and this issue will never be solved I'll be forced to go elsewhere for my internet to fully work. I deserve to have a non-hacked IP address.

Nothing to worry about. With my Bell IP I am on 1, with my Shaw IP I am on 3.

Both providers work without an issue regardless of the blacklist.

If you click on the details it will provide a URL, where you can check the reason why it's blacklisted by that organization. It's usually due to RDNs issues or similar, and does not mean your IP is blacklisted across the internet.

If you are experiencing issues it will not be due to an entry in one of the blacklist providers.

My office requires me to use a VPN. The VPN provider has blacklisted my home IP address (assigned by Bell) as 'malicious'. I have worked with my office IT support and Bell phone support and the VPN provider but am unable to get the IP address un-blacklisted. Bell phone support has told me they cannot manually change the IP address, and I have tried a modem reset multiple times. What can Bell do to resolve this? Otherwise, I cannot use Bell internet to work from home. I can provide details of the IP address, the VPN blacklist, and previous help calls. Thanks.

Typically VPN providers do not blacklist public IP's from ISP's since they are dynamic and could therefore lead to issues if they get assigned to another customer.

That being said, I would use a different VPN provider if they do not lift the block on that specific IP address.

I use ExpressVPN and it works without any issues on multiple devices.

Unfortunately Bell can't change your IP other then by rebooting. You will have to talk to your VPN provider about their action.
