Home Hub 2000 SSID quantity

How many SSID's can a Home Hub 2000 have? I would like to have 3. Is this possible?

I think it only comes with 2.4 and 5 Ghz bands, and a guest network.

I guess if you split the 2.4 and 5, and then use the guest network you can have 3 different SSID's.

Good Day.

The Home Hub 2000 can only have two SSID.

Open a web browser on a computer connected to the router.
Enter http://ca/homehub/ or http://192.168.2.1/ in the address bar to access the router's status page.
Select Manage My Wi-Fi.
Uncheck Keep a common network name (SSID) and Password for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.
Edit the name of the 5 GHz band to be different from the 2.4 GHz band
The Password can be the same for both frequency bands.
Select OK and apply the settings.

You can also turn on the Guest Network.

Step 6 indicates the password CAN be the same, not MUST be the same. Can I assume that the passwords could be different? The end result I'm looking to have (control) is three 'independent networks' for different uses (family, guests, IoT devices) ....RegularJoe

Good Day.

They can be the same or you can choose different passwords as is the case with the Guest Network. If the WiFi network names and/or passwords are different, you will not be able to take advantage of band steering and will need to manually manage which WiFi network band each device connects to.

As mentioned, depending on your priorities and devices, either of these can make sense. Just give it a try and determine which best meets your needs..
