Recently I got my modem upgraded to Giga hub, since the upgrade I configure the modem using Whole Home Wi-Fi On, the extender works for few hours to a day then hung. I contact TP Link support and was told to configure the modem to use: for 2.4Ghz Change Channel to 6 and the Channel Width to 20Mhz, for 5Ghz Change Channel to 40 and the Channel Width to 40Mhz. Does anyone know how to configure the modem as required?

Good Day.

To the best of my knowledge you can't use anything other than the assigned channels with the Whole Home Wi-Fi Internet turned off.

Take care.

Hi @WelshTerrier,

Just for curiosity, I turn off WH Wi-Fi and poke around, it does provide many individual channels. For 2.4GHz I set the channel width to 20MHz and I can select channel 6, and for 5GHz set the channel width to 40MHz and set the channel to 40. Hope it will fix the TP Link extender issue
