topic HomeHub3000 only provides internet to guest network in Internet

After the hh 3000 received a software update my custom network configuration started to provide internet connectivity only to the guest network. The primary network would connect without internet. I had a new modern sent and that fixed the problem until the next software update when the modem again exhibited the same behavior.

Tech support will not deal with this because of customization. However all that is changed is that the subnet is changed from 2 to 64 (configured in the dhcp setting) and there is a local dns server on a Unix box which is configured in the dns setting.

Is it possible that the software upgrade silently fails in this case and the modem can't be fixed with a hard factory reset?

BTW this configuration worked fine for years on the 3000 and earlier modems.
