That question is impossible to answer as wireless speeds vary and are affected by many parameters. The best answer would be whatever speed allows you to do what you need to do.

There's no minimum guaranteed speed for WiFi, if that is what you were looking for.

I recently got the 1.5G internet and 2 pods as my place is on 2 floors. I have noticed that the speed tests on my phone vary depending on which room I am in between 170mbs to 670mbs.

Unfortunately the 2 main rooms upstairs (modem is downstairs) do not get the fastest speed.I work from home and my office setup location gets the lowest speed at 170mbs despite the 2 pods installation upstairs.

I have a bell technician coming today and wanted to know what the lowest speed I should tolerate from the 1.5G despite having the 2 pods and renting them each month. Please help and thank you!!!

Thank you for your question. I have Bell pods and have had for several years. The speeds you describe are normal in my setting. You should not expect 1.5Gb speeds on a wireless connection unless you are within a few feet of the modem. Even without pods, connection speed declines the further away you are from the pod or the modem. There is a mathematical formula which calculates this, but you are seeing practical evidence of that. All functions of your internet, including Fibe TV should work at an indicated speed of 175 Mb or better. Are you experiencing difficulties in connecting? In apps? Gaming? Other functions?

The room with the lowest speed only has my laptop in it right now. However, eventually it will also have a smart TV, smart thermostat, ipad etc (i haven't completely moved in yet). What is the lowest speed i should tolerate in any room from the 1.5G modem?

That's a difficult question to answer. 170 Mbps is tolerable for one device. Keep adding devices and that bandwidth becomes divided and load balanced by the pods. It's not really the measured speed that answers your question. It might be, if you are watching TV, working on your laptop and someone else is on an iPad, are you having difficulty? Is there skipping and stopping? Does your browser freeze?
