Suspect email - email suspension

Did anyone receive an email such as this?

Smells like a scam......they try to create a scenario of urgency to get you to click. Just login to your Bell email using webmail www.bell.net and NOT the link in the email. If Bell needs you to do anything.....you would get the notice from there.

Have received two emails today that look very suspicious, but claim to come from Bell mail.

Both have words to tap on for links. Of course I have not.

One claims outgoing emails have been suspended due to my stepping past the line on outgoings allowed , the other just tells me to tap to upgrade my system.
I am sure these are scams of some sort and posting here so people take a look before hitting any hidden links

Please click "Mark as spam" from webmail (when you log in from www.bell.net) - this will ensure the team managing the Bell email service will be aware of this specific spam campaign and can investigate & block it

My email address is suspended and I am directed to call 310-surf. I take that as 1-800-310-surf.

First, I get a query that if I am over 50 to press 1. I thought 'why not' and I'm directed to a medical assistance monitoring device sales pitch. The other option is to press 2, which tells me to get the new number, I wil need to pay $3.89.

What's going on?

Scam, don't click or go to any links, and don't provide any information.

Check your e-mail to verify it still works.

Treat it as a Scam! Fraudsters can impersonate anyone or any company that they wish to be in order to steal from you. Remember one thing, listen only, say nothing & share nothing! if in doubt call Bell directly.

You should verify your MyBell & your email accounts & change the passwords for both of these accounts A.S.A.P.

If you require further assistance, please contact Bell Customer Service, Internet tech support at: 1 866 310-BELL (2355)

Just a few suggestions:

Never give out any of your personal information to anyone you do not know or trust.
Do not reply to unknown emails, messages, callers, etc.
Do not open web links or attachments in suspicious messages.
Next time "Hang up!"

Hi there @herbhagell
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
If you are within Ontario or Quebec, you only need to dial 310-SURF (7873) from your Bell landline, the 1-800 is not required. Alternatively you can contact 1-866-310-2355 as @WelshTerrier advised.
Can you share where you are seeing your email is suspended? Did you receive an email saying it was, did you receive a phone call, does it tell you this when you attempt to log into your Bell Webmail? Normally we do not suspend emails and they will continue to work until they are deleted or the account is no longer active.
Looking forward to hearing back.

Received email saying my account will be suspended if my don’t renew my account and then a couple of follow ups saying my antivirus is no longer in effect and I have 793 viruses and is vulnerable to identity theft. What do I do is this legit?

This sound like a fake email , I would not wright . So i say that it was something and i would report to bell . And dont send or click the link . But I phone and check with them . Casue they will help you with your account

FYI Only! Is your system protected? Do you have an antivirus software program? If not, then you should look into this. E.g. Windows Security, McAfee, etc.
