I would like to install a 2nd Modem on another floor in my home because my CPU must be hard wired.

What steps to I need to take to get this done ?

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
We only provide 1 modem per internet service subscription. If you're looking to have 2 modems installed in your home you would need to have 2 internet accounts as a second line would need to be ran from the pole to your home. For this you would need to speak with our customer service team.

There is only one fiber connection provided into each dwelling. It can only service one Bell modem. If you wish to install an additional modem, then you would require another internet account.

Depending on where you live, Bell may or may not be able to do so this for you. I am fairly confident that there would be some form of additional costs & commitment required from you to extend this type of service in to your home.

If you wish to pursue this, then you will need to give Bell Fibe Internet Customer service a call at: 1 866 310-BELL (2355) or dial *611 from any Bell mobile device. They will be able to provide you with further details.

You do not need to have 2 modems.

Option One: You can have one Bell modem and use Network Cat6 cable from the back to the modem to another floor and have a router connected to it.
Option Two: You can have one Bell modem and use an extender/repeater router in the mid floor where it can connect to Bell modem via wifi and repeat it as a second wifi for the second floor. The speed will not be the same as having Cat6 from back of Bell modem.
