I would assign the SFP+ port that the GPON module is plugged into as WAN1.

VLAN 35 needs to be configured on the WAN side, not the LAN side incase you did not do that part.

FYI the UDM Pro cannot link at 2.5/2.5, only at 1/1 or 10/10. Assuming you have the 1.5/1 plan, your actual speed will be limited to 1/1 maximum when using the UDM Pro in PPPOE mode with the GPON module from the HH3000.

I just tried to setup my UDM, but not having any success. Here is what I've done:

assigned WAN 2 to port 10

setup PPPoE on WAN 2 with my b1 credentials

setup vlan 35

DNS server set to auto

turned off udm pro

removed Huawei sfp module (and file cable from HH3000) and plugged it into port 10

unplugged cable from port 9

turned on udm pro

On boot up udm pro gave a no internet error.

I turned off the udm pro, reset the sfp and repeated the process two more times with the same result.

For the moment I've reverted to using the HH3000.

Any suggestions on what I missed or can try to get this to work?

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately Bell does not support customer added equipment. There might be another user with a similar setup who may posther, but that’s it, I suggest you also post your questions to the Bell Reddit, where a lot of advanced users can offer help.

Actually, is that the original GPON module or an aftermarket one?

Mine is Alcatel, I thought the Huwei were aftermarket ones but I could be wrong.

If you get the module to sync but no internet, it's more than likely the VLAN. Without VLAN 35 on WAN side you cannot get internet service.

Once you have it set to WAN1, the VLAN ID has to be set to 35 under the manual options as per my screenshot.

I do not have mine set to 35 because I am not using my UDM Pro to make the PPPOE connection. I have used it before so it does work.
