Good Day.

Thank you for posting your question.

Based on the hardware information that you have provided and the equipment you are using, 1.0Gbps is the maximum you can expect to achieve for that device using an ethernet cable. Your best connection is going to be using a Cat 6 ethernet cable.

The computer has built-in support for Ethernet LAN (10 megabits per second, 10BASE-T), Fast Ethernet LAN (100 megabits per second, 00BASE-TX) or Gigabit Ethernet LAN (1000 megabits per second, 1000BASE-T)

If you are using Gigabit Ethernet LAN (1000 megabits per second, 1000BASE-T), be sure to connect with a CAT5e cable or higher.

Internet Speed Test | Measure the speed of your Internet connection

(Canadian) Online Users Guide for A50-EC

Take care.

Unfortunately, because your laptop can not handle any speed better that 1 GB, you will be unable to upload and download at more than 940 Mbps with a wired connection. This is a laptop limit, not a Bell limit. If the laptop is very new and you have a Giga Hub 2.0, you might get a higher wireless speed, but that is not guaranteed. The speed you have will allow you to do everything with a good internet experience. All internet providers always uses the words "up to" to describe your speeds as there is no warranty or guarantee you will always have maximum speed.

Depends on the USB-C adaptor and USB-C port capabilities.

They sell them with various maximum speeds, and if you have a home hub 4000 or newer it's best to purchase a 10 Gbps adaptor for compatibility reasons.
