topic Power draw of HH2000 with nothing connected to it? in Internet

In case of a power failure, how many watts does the HH2000 use if nothing is connected to it? Disconnect PC, turn off WiFi etc.

Hooking it up to an Ecoflow River 2 base model. 256wh capacity and 300w output. Depending on the power draw of the HH2000, I'm trying to figure out how many hours it will keep running without any load on it?

Good Day.

Thank you for posting your question.

I have included the following formula that will assist you in determining the modem's power draw.

To calculate your Bell HH 2000 modem's power draw, please locate the adapter that is plugged in to the modem's 110v ac power supply. To calculate the Watts usage, record the output specifications that are marked on the adapter. Look for labels on the adapter that indicate its voltage (V) and amperage (A).

To calculate the wattage, multiply the voltage by the amperage to get the wattage: (Formula: Volts (V) × Amps (A) = Watts (W). For example, if the adapter is 12V and 0.5A, the wattage is 12V x 0.5A = 6W.

Once you have the wattage, you can calculate its energy use. To calculate daily usage, multiply the wattage by 24 hours: (Formula: Watts × 24 hours = Watt-hours per day.) To calculate yearly usage, multiply the daily watt-hours by 365 days.

If you are looking for more accurate, precise & the real-time power draw with the Bell HH 2000 modem, you will need to purchase a power consumption monitor. There are numerous makes and models across varying prices that are available locally or by way of online shopping.

Take care.

That's an interesting question. As the HH2000 has no battery backup, it will not work at all in a power outage. If you are trying to calculate the phantom power draw (no load) of the modem, @WelshTerrier has given you a good answer. The HH2000 will run forever as long as it is connected to a power outlet. If you are wondering about adding an external backup battery to power the modem in a power outage, you can find help here.
