Receiving spam email and the “From” (or Sender) section is blank.

This week I’ve started receiving dozens of emails like these daily in my inbox, where the “From” (or Sender) is blank.

Does anyone have a method to filter them all to the Junk folder? Tried a couple of searches but didn’t seem to find anything.

Thanks for your question. I recognize some of the subject as I have received them, too. I can see the addresses in Outlook. They are garbage addresses, and not valid. Spammers are always ahead of us as recipients. Manually delete the emails for now.

Thank you for sharing this with the community. There is no quick fix to solving this type of Junk mail & Spam issue. You can set up Allowed and Blocked senders and domains within your Bell webmail account. This may assist you in reducing some of the Junk or Spam that you are receiving. Your quickest fix is to delete all of these messages & mark them as Junk. You can choose to delete them in bulk using an Email client such as Outlook or by accessing your Bell webmail account and doing the same from within your Inbox.

Appreciate the reply. For now I'm minimizing the impact by flagging key words in the subject line to flip them to junk automatically. This has drastically cut down on the number showing up with no sender.

It's just disappointing that the functionality doesn't exist - if it's possible to conceal the sender name in the email then it should be possible to flag and delete those emails easily.

Thank you for your feedback & suggestion.

Spam or Junk mail can be compared to the game of Whack-a-mole. Every time you come up with an idea or solution, a thief or fraudster out there is working on another method or concept to steal from you.

There is no quick fix. We can only do our best to try & stop something that continually occurs & changes.

It would be nice if we could terminate spammers’ e-mail accounts & eliminate all fraudulent emails, text messages, etc.

Hi all,

I am getting extremely spammed by the spam over the past few months. I mean over 20 spam messages a day - and my father is as well.

I think I have over 100 keywords in my filter and still it keeps coming.
I follow the instructions of don’t click and mark as junk and it does not help.

i understand spammers are always trying the next big thing, however, I have noticed is that if you “View Source”, there are many tags in the emails saying it is spam, like this:

X-RG-VADE: Spam

X-RazorGate-Vade-Classification: spam

So, I can’t use the email filters to flag these (not robust enough), but Bell should be able to read this and act on it before it gets to my inbox since I have chosen the “Put In junk mail folder” under Security settings, but it isn’t doing that.

Bell, is there a bug somewhere?
