Make sure the tip of the connector is clean since even a tiny thread of lint can obstruct the signal.

Another thing you can try when encountering an internet, Fibe TV or Fibe Home Phone issue is to run the Virtual Repair tool. If you can, run it from your smartphone as the The Virtual repair tool will:

Look for service outages in your area

Check the equipment outside your home

Reboot all your hardware

Optimize the settings for your service

Frequent 1201 error codes

Does anyone have any ideas what could solve frequent disconnections and 1201 error codes on a GigaHub modem?

I have tried talking to technical support reps to no avail. One insisted that a factory reboot would do the trick *after* they had already sent me a new modem and asked me to install. Every new phone call another aggravating adventure after another. After threatening to cancel my service, Bell finally sent an in-person technician who said they needed someone to clean up the box that’s hanging above some trees right not but it’s been almost a month and I’ve seen no change (not sure if anyone has taken a look at the box or not).

Bell is the only ISP with fibe in my neighbourhood or I would drop them in a heartbeat. Still thinking about cancelling, to be honest, but perhaps there is something to be done still that doesn’t involve an infuriating conversation with a call centre agent who clearly doesn’t have the skills to fix my problem or the authority to elevate it. Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

If anyone has tips on fixing this issue, or on how to make Bell take you seriously, please let me know.

This is more than likely not something you can resolve yourself, and would need a technician to fix for you.

See here.
