Hi I recently switched from the gigahub to the gigahub 2.0 as I was experiencing intermittent high packet loss while gaming, and my partner was complaining of poor coverage around the house.

turns out that it did not solve either issue and instead made the packet loss worse. From intermittent to nearly constant packet loss when gaming. Is this a known issue and how the hell do I fix it

every online game I play has had the packet loss indicator flashing constantly since I switched modems. This is all while having a low ping.

I can test a different way if you’d like.

so far only on my PC (with a wifi adapter that does not support 6.0ghz band).

using packetlosstest.com shows delay spikes of ~400ms for 5% of packets. Same test on iPhone look fine

Might be the adapter though the constant packet loss only happened as I changed modems.

It’s an archer tx20e with speeds “up to” 1200mbps.

Something to try is to split up the WiFi network into separate SSID's to see if the network card connects stable to the 5 Ghz band.

Split up SSID.

Hi Vanadiel,

I have tried this yesterday. As expected, my adapter doesn’t support 6ghz but connects fine to 5.0ghz. Even with the 2.4 and 6.0 bands disabled I still see packet loss.

I have left a terminal window open pinging my default gateway. I see jumps up to 300ms intermittently. Especially coinciding with bouts of packet loss

I suspect that this may be related to high CPU usage in the gigahub 2.0 that ive read reports of online. I have disabled 6.0 ghz (only my phone can connect to it) and DLNA to reduce CPU usage. It seems to have worked for the most part. I will test again later today to see if it has entirely eliminated the problem.
