topic Port forwarding no longer working after potential update - using TP-Link deco mesh router and network switch in Internet

Recentrly upgraded to gigabit and replaced all my network nic switches to 2.5gb, was pretty satisfied with how smooth it was. Unfortunately early this morning (before today's storm in Toronto ) I notcied my wifi stopped working. I use a tp-link deco mesh system and had to do a complete factory reset to get wifi going again.

Sadly, now when I try to open a port, it straight out refuses to open. Ive tried port forwarding on my deco mesh router, on the bell giga hub, opening a dmz, but nothing works. I have no idea what broke. I was using PPPOE prior but now that severely throttles my speed. Maybe a limitation with the deco, but it was working fine yesterday. Help or insight would be greatly appreciated. I'm suspecting it was a firmware update on the gigahub that messed with things.

If I replace the bell hub, that might work but if it is indeed a firmware update, i can see it happening again.
