Close but no cigar.
I had asked Bell Support about the HH3000 but they tell me because I’m on Rural Wireless the HH2000 is my only option.

That is really useful information. Certain combinations of equipment may not play well together. It's also really helpful to know exactly which internet type people have. Bell still supports consumer dial up internet, believe it or not (at least they still list dial up internet phone numbers in their support pages). Then there is DSL, Wireless Home Internet (which may be your package) and fibre at various speed levels. Each has their own unique technical aspects and challenges, as you have pointed out. And tools that work with one type of internet such as fibre may not work with DSL or, as you have discovered, WHI. Sorry it didn't work out, but your experience has been helpful to others like myself.

Extend HH2000 wi-fi with Plume Pods??

I have a HH2000 and opted to add the Plume Pods from Bell extend my wifi but have found them to be useless. The Pods drop, turn red in the app and then anything attached drops off and they are a huge pain. Has anyone else found this?

Has anyone found a better way to extend the wifi from the HH2000 other than the pods. Please share.

I have had the Plume pods for three years. I have had pods with the HH 3000 and now the Giga Hub. I have had great success with them. Placement of the pods is important. There are a number of resources which can help on the Bell support web page. There is also a very useful diagnostic tool for the pods which can be found on the Bell app (Apple & Android) under Support. It can do good diagnostics and repair of pod issues.

Same old same old.

My apologies for not being more clear. In the MyBell app on either Apple or Android ecosystems, log into the app with the same name and password you use for the web page or for this community. Go to the Support tab. There is the box for Virtual Repair (which you don't want right now) and the box below that which says Wi-Fi Checkup. Run that scan. It takes 5-7 minutes and can be run in the background. The tool will give you a detailed analysis of your network, including all your pods. It will offer you suggestions, as well. The Virtual Repair tool, which is the other tool offered on that page, does disconnect your internet. That is by design. It will reconnect your service, as well. The Wi-Fi Checkup tool does not do that.

Attached is a screenshot of the result from the Wi-Fi scan I just ran. The scan told me that my speed does not match my profile and to run the Virtual Repair tool.

I haven't read all of the responses but I too had many problems with the pods so eventually I returned them (four) and got 1 of the newer larger pods that does 5ghz and it has worked great since I got it. It's actually being used by devices and good data rates vs. the the four useless ones before.

Depends how large your space is but I am doing fine with just one of the larger pods. Be interested to hear afterwards if these help you out. Again depending on size I would add one to start let the network and devices discover it and see how it goes .. then you can add the 2bd pod if needed. Keeping my fingers crossed this helps you.

My new super pods are a mess….

After working wonderfully well for a few days they now drop off the wifi regularly. I talked at length with Bell Support and they can’t see them at their end. They said they where installed ok… In addition they crapped out the HH2000. I had to shut down everything and start over.

I also pointed out to Bell Support (and proved with screen shots) that the Virtual Repair doesn’t work here for me. It starts and then “internal server error” and the Wifi Checkup does exactly the same thing.

God, I hate technology… it never works.

Hi Nick,

We have the rural wireless 25 down with a Home Hub 2000.
The Pods worked wonderfully for a few days then went nuts. Wouldn’t connect, then would, then not. Bell Support told me to move one closer to the HH2000 so I did, 2 metres from it honestly, and the app said “poor” reception. After that both were “poor”.
I could sit outside with my iPhone and it connects to the HH2000 totally ignoring the Pods and I had a good signal. I don’t know what happened with the Pods but I gave up.

I'm sorry to hear your problems continue. I have the HH 3000 and the one new larger pod which does 5ghz. I have 1 GB download and 750 upload. Since I got rid of the 4 small pods and got the 1 larger pod my network has remained stable for several months and typically the pod has about half the active devices connecting to it. One item of note, a couple months ago I did have problems and made them send me a replacement hh 3000 as I was convinced it was the problem and sure enough problems went away when I installed the replacement unit. I actually wanted a hh 4000 which comes with our current package if you are a new subscriber but they wanted another $5 a month for it and I said no thank you im paying enough already. I hate how new customers get better deals than existing customers.
