We are closing all old versions of BELL Mailbox as from September 30th

Remember to click "Mark as spam" from webmail (when you log in from www.bell.net) - this will ensure the team managing the Bell email service will be aware of this specific spam campaign, can investigate and block it.

I received an email from BellClients Message telling me that the last payment could not be processed. Be careful of these!! It also contains what looks like links to Bell but the links do not work. DO NOT OPEN THE LINK THAT SAYS "Renew My Payment Information"

These e-mails (yes, I get them too) are called phishing e-mails. They are attempts to steal your account information and your passwords. Ignore them. Always. Some of the things I watch for that tell me it's a fraud include really poor English grammar, creating a sense of urgency and obviously fraudulent e-mail addresses. Ignore them, mark them as spam and delete them. Above all, don't click on any links in the e-mail.

I've received a few emails indicating Bell will be updating my email i.e. "Bell email recent updates" the body of the email reads: " Dear user,

We are closing all old versions of our Mailbox. Kindly download the attached PD F to update your email account.

Thank you in advance for your participation."

The PDF requests my user name and password. Is this real or a scam?

Scam. 100% scam. Always, always a scam. It's called a phishing e-mail and it is designed to get you to enter your account credentials. Directly delete it. These e-mails create a sense of urgency, which is false. They ask for your credentials (Bell already knows that information) and can hijack your account.

I have been receiving these emails every day for the last several weeks. Either from My Bell or Bell Admin Subject: Final reminder, I have forwarded them to Phish@bell.ca but it is frustrating.

Anybody else getting them? They actually have the Bell logo in them.

To avoid service interruptions and delays in outgoing / incoming mails, please use the maintenance portal below to switch and automatically enable your new Bell email account settings.

Failure to comply within 24 hours may result in permanent deactivation.

Is this really from Bell? I don't want to click on the links in case this is a scam. Here is the email I received:

We emailed you last month to let you know about changes we are making to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. These changes are key steps towards creating what's next for our consumers, like you, while empowering them with transparency and controls over how and when their data is used.

In order to continue to access your Mailbox after April 25th 2023, you will need to confirm you accept the Terms of Service.

I keep getting messages purporting o be from Bell telling me to update something or other or else my email will be cut off. They look convincing but there are so many scams going on that I don't want to open any attachments. What to do?
