The HH3000 is NOT listed in my month bill. So I think I own it. Had it for over 5 years. What would Bell do with the old ones? Break it down for the parts in the circuit board?

Bell has told you that you can keep the HH3000? You don't have to give it back?

The HH3K could be folded into your monthly bill rather than being listed separately. My HH4K isn't listed on my bill, but I don't own it.

Bell supplies the HH3K to some new customers who successfully request it when the install tech arrives. If it's on the the tech's truck and if their supervisor approves, Bell will provision it.

Maybe the Bell tech won't take your 3K when they arrive with the the 4K.

Yeah that possibility is correct. When I migrated from alt to Fibe tv, my hh 3k was upgraded to 4K too. I told the tech guy to take the 3k away and he did, but later I still received an envelope with prepaid postage asking me to mail the device back. I reported via online chat and the agent said normally the technician won’t take the equip back and this is not a bug or mistake,

Any solution or answer to this. I see it got side tracked as to whether they can keep the 3000 or not. I bought a used hh3000 used cheap, wondering if it can be set into Ap mode, I have an old Google one router that is no longer supported. Wondering if I can plug the 3000 into the Ethernet cable I have there and run it as an AP

You can use it as a switch, but not as an AP as that requires you to switch the modem to AP only mode which is not supported.

Most retail modems support this function, but not the home hubs.

Best option is use a standalone AP from a reputable vendor, as that makes your wireless setup ISP independent.
