topic Using Personal Modem Over Bell Gigahub in Internet

I wanted to replace my bell provided gigahub with my own personal modem and router. I was wondering if I could just unplug the gigahub from the coax cable and plug it right into my personal modem or would I have to give bell the MAC address and serial number off my personal modem to set it up. I am going to be using the Arris S33. Thanks in advance!

While you can plug your own router into the Giga Hub, you can only plug the Bell fibre optic cable into the Bell Giga Hub modem for it to work. The Arris S33 modem will only work with cable internet. It will not work with the Bell system at all.
