Block VPN services

We have a Gigahub router and are wondering if it possible to block VPNs. We use OpenDNS to block certain types of sites. The kiddos are too smart for that use VPNs to easily get around OpenDNS. I realize they will probably outsmart whatever I do but I would like to keep them on their toes.

Here's a quick overview:

You'll need router-level VPN blocking on your LAN. There is no user-accessible area on Bell's gateway modem to accomplish this.
You need a 3rd party router with rules-based features on its firewall, connected to your modem using PPPoE (or DHCP in Atlantic Canada).
Keep in mind that basic consumer routers may not have the same depth of firewall configuration that enterprise-level routers have.
The Netgear Orbi is a router that can do this blocking.
Other companies worth looking into, for their firewall features: ASUS, TP-Link

check out opnsense buy a cheap mini pc with dual nics and set it up, with zenarmor , you can control the category of blocking

Amazon has a few mini pcs that would fine for an install of OPNsense and Zenarmor.
