Screen sharing apps were originally used to fix issues on a phone remotely. They allow full access and control of your phone. They are now being used by fraudsters as "Spyware in disguise masked to be an app."

Where did you obtain this app? Did someone contact you? Did you purchase this app by way of a third-party website, social platform, etc.? Did you use your credit card?

You did the right thing in removing the app. Did you give them access to your mobility device? If so, then they have may installed further tools to scam you. If unsure, do a factory reset. Pay close attention to your personal account information & report any cases of fraud to your financial institution or credit card company.

Fraudsters can use screen sharing apps to:

Control your phone to make transactions on your behalf.

View your ATM or debit card details.

View the OTP sent to your phone and use it to transfer money from your account.

Take care.
