For 3 weeks now I have been going back and forth with bell to get numbershare added to my account so I could activate my smartwatch so I can share my phones number, why is it bell reps tell different answers as to why it cant be done all the time then refer to a store and say they can do it and they in turn say they cant do it either. Come on bell be better then TELUS at least and they are terrible. Getting error 4001 now but now I am supposedly waiting for a further tech to call me with no solution. Anyone have any ideas how to get this service working on a Samsung smartwatch?

Good morning, @wmorran. Welcome to the Bell Community, and thanks for your post.

While we understand the frustration and confusion, error 4001 is ultimately specific to Samsung Galaxy wearables; as a result, it would be outside of our Tech Support team's scope to assist.

With that said, here's some troubleshooting steps for when you and other users may encounter the same issue:

Check Device Info

When the error appears, tap Device Info to view the specific error code.

Check Carrier Login Engine App Permissions

Navigate to:

Settings > Apps > More Options > Show system apps > Carrier Login Engine > Permissions

Ensure the app has the necessary permissions to access phone functions.

Check SIM Card and Networks

Confirm the SIM card is properly inserted.

Ensure the phone is connected to a mobile network.

Software Updates

Verify that both the phone OS and the Galaxy Wearable app are updated to the latest versions.

Factory Reset (if needed)

If the issue persists, consider performing a factory reset on both the watch and the phone.

If after these steps you're still encountering error code 4001 on your Galaxy Wearable device, we advise you reach out to Samsung Support or visit an authorized Samsung service centre if possible.

Best wishes.

— Kris
