In spite of heavy advertising by all carriers about 5G, reality is often very different. You are can try to set your phone to 5G AUTO (in the case of iPhones) to allow your phone to optimize the cellular signal, even when it is LTE or 3G. That way your phone will find the best signal in a given setting.
