Will the Global 365 pass work (or regular charges would occur) when on a plane?

I read that the global pass wouldn't work (or regular charges would occur) when on a plane. Would there likely be some surprise charges if I had this plan on my kids phones when we travel and they didn't have their phone in airplane mode when we board our flights? Just trying to understand any cost risks to getting this plan for each of our family members because we'd much rather have our regular phone numbers than getting esims when in Europe. Thanks.

Bell travel add-ons (such as Roam Better and Travel Passes) do not cover in-flight services or airplane travel charges.

If you use your mobile device while in the air (using in-flight cellular or satellite connectivity), it will trigger pay-per-use satellite roaming charges, which can be very expensive.

The Bell Global 365-day Travel Pass can be used in all countries that have access to Bell's Roam Better.

The only restriction or rule so to speak would be for countries that roaming is not supported, or while on a flight or a cruise ship. In these cases, either a Global 365 or a Roam Better user would both be subject to pay-per-use rates.
