How about if they're ghosting us? If there's just a bill to pay why can't we do it? Seems like if it's not stolen or anything we are stuck without any help at all.

Hi there @Max_Mouse.

Welcome to the Community.

Phones can only be removed from the blacklist by the original owner, in this case your Note 20 Ultra.

If you bought it secondhand, you'll need to get in touch with who you originally bought it from so they can address it.

Once your phone has been blacklisted, there really isn't anything you can do to fix this issue. You can try contacting the original phone provider, but unless you are the one that reported it, it's usually unsuccessful and a lost cause.

You can try selling it back to whoever sold it to you, but I would not hold my breath on that working out in your favour or you can do the right thing & turn it in to the rightful owner by handing it over to the police & reporting it as being stolen.

If it were me, I would do the right thing!

Hello, i unknowingly purchased a Samsung s23 plus from an individual that was unlocked to all carriers, but ended up be black listed due to the individual claiming the phone most have been lost or stolen. Bell would have black listed the phone in order to keep someone from finding it and being able to just install an sim card.

Has anyone here been able to have a blacklisted phone removed from such list????

I wish, I could offer you a simple solution. Yes it can be removed if you were the person who originally blacklisted the device. If you do find your lost or stolen device, you will need to contact a Bell representative & the device will be given access to Bell's network within 24 hours.

Bell will not un-blacklist the device if it is reported lost or stolen.

If you are purchasing a pre-owned phone, you should always check the IMEI number to ensure that it has not been reported lost or stolen in Canada.

Once your phone has been blacklisted, there really isn't anything you can do to fix this issue. You can try contacting the original phone provider, but unless you are the one that reported it, it's usually unsuccessful and a lost cause.

Here is a link for future reference that may assist you if purchasing a previously owned phone.

For Consumers | DeviceCheck.ca
