It doesn't transcribe until after my language preference updates.

I have set languages everywhere I can find ... on my phone, on google and bell

What language preference update is required for transcribe?

Firstly, could you clarify as to how you're making use of this voicemail transcription feature? Is this an accessibility feature specifically, or one that is enabled through your phone's settings?

If the former, take a look at this Google Support page on How to use and set up accessibility shortcuts

If the latter, double check in your settings that you have the correct option enabled. You can do so with these steps:

Select your Phone app
Select the Menu icon (three dots), then Settings
Select Voicemail, then select the Voicemail transcription switch to enable or disable voicemail transcriptions.

If the issue persists after this, could you please share a screenshot of your language preference settings in your phone? Including what language you currently have it set to, and what languages are available as options.
