So, it turns out that those of us with the S23 series of phones will have to wait a while longer for the 6.1.1 update because an issue has arisen with the camera for those that have already gotten the update. Samsung knows about it & is currently working on a fix.

Good Day.

I do not believe Samsung is holding off & playing games awaiting the next release; Android 15. The update is a must. It is a security update that is being rolled out across the planet; albeit rather slowly to say the least.

I checked once again today & there is no firm scheduled rollout date at this time for Canadian customers.

Your best source of information will need to come from Samsung.

Take care

MJSobol2022, we didn't get OneUI 6 (Android 14) until very late 2023/early 2024 and the security patch was withheld, then it happened again with the 6.1 update a couple -- few? -- months later. Now it's happening again with the 6 1.1 update. So, we most likely won't see OneUI 7 (Android 15) until the end of the year, if not some time in early 2025.

WelshTerrier, 6.1.1 is not a true security update, it is a minor upgrade from OneUI 6.1, but it won't be a major upgrade like when OneUI 7 is released. There have been people getting the August security update, but for some reason we've not been given it in Canada. But it happened just before 6 & 6.1 came out too.

Thank you for your question . As has been said in the past, updates come from manufacturers and not Bell. Samsung rolls out their upgrades slowly and by region. Canada may not be available yet. You might try monitoring cell phone sites like MapleSyrup, which seems to have lots of that information.
