Galaxy S23 Ultra Wi-Fi Calling

Why is there no option to select wifi calling on my new S23 Ultra? My S21 Ultra had it, under the actual call settings menu. My brand new Ultra does not. Anyone else have this same issue? I know it's not the end of the world, but why???

Hi there @Carcajou, and welcome to the Community.

We wanted to check in and see if you were still having issues setting up your wi-fi calling? Could you confirm you're following the instructions as shown below?

Go to the Android stock Phone app.
Navigate: Menu > Settings.
Tap the Wi-Fi Calling switch to turn on or off.

If activating Wi-Fi Calling for the first time:

Review the Terms & Conditions then tap CONTINUE to proceed. Ensure the Terms & Conditions option is checked.
Enter the emergency location info (E911) address then tap SAVE. This info gets transmitted to the emergency dispatcher for all 911 Wi-Fi calls. If address validation fails, you'll be required to re-enter a valid address.
Upon successful validation of the address, Wi-Fi Calling turns on.

If so and the issue is persisting, as the Galaxy S23 series as a whole does support wi-fi calling with Bell, it sounds like there might be an issue with your monthly plan being incompatible with wi-fi calling as an add-on itself.

In this case, you can take a look at changing your planvia MyBell, or reaching out via our Contact Ussupport page.

wifi calling not working on S23 ultra

Hello,

I just upgraded my device to S23 ultra from S22 plus. My wifi calling feature was working perfectly fine on s22 plus. But as I switched to s23 ultra its not working. I did everything from reseting network settings and registering again, removed sim card, rebooted my device etc. But nothing seem to be working. Please advise any other methods to activate wifi calling. My wifi calling feature is on and set on wifi preferred but i do not see wifi calling icon on the screen.

Please advise.

I have a Samsung S23+ and I am on the 130GB plan. I don't see any options to turn on Wi-Fi Calling.

I recently changed to this plan from the 15GB plan (and I did have that option before).

Good Day.

In order to activate Wi-Fi calling on your device, you must have mobility service. You must also have a compatible device & access to a Wi-Fi network.

Wi-Fi calling is only available within Canada on unlimited nationwide plans.

If you can answer yes to all of the following points, then there is no reason why you cannot use Wi-Fi for cellular calling. I have attached a link at the end of this message that explains Wi-Fi calling & how to use & set it up on your mobile devise.

1. Are you using a Smartphone? 2. Do you have Internet available to you? 3. Do you have a strong Wi-Fi signal? 4. Have you verified that your device is compatible with Wi-Fi calling. 5. Are you connected to a Wi-Fi network? 6. Is your mobile device up to date? 7. Have you powered off your device? 8. Have you verified that the feature has been activated on your MyBell Mobility Service? If not, then you should contact Bell Mobility Tech support.

Bell Mobility Tech support: Call: 1 800 667-0123 or dial *611 from any Bell mobile device.

Most Bell plans offer Wi-Fi calling as a free service. If your plan covers it & you have a Smartphone, simply turn this feature on in your phone settings.
