I assume you have no error messages on your modem. Let's reboot your modem first. Unplug your modem from the power source. Wait 25 seconds & plug it back in. This can take a few minutes. Wait until everything is up and running, no flashing lights, etc. Try your telephone & see if you have dial tone. If it is still not working you need to verify that it is not a telephone problem. Unplug the phone & if possible plug in another telephone that you know is in working order. If this phone does not work, then it is not the telephone. Plug your telephone directly in to the telephone jack outlet in the back of your modem. If it works, then it is your jack or wiring from the telephone to the modem that has a problem. If it still does not work, try rebooting your modem once again.

If there is no dial tone after completing all of the above, please contact Bell Tech Support at 310-BELL or 1-866-310-BELL or #611 from any Bell mobile device.

All of your cords & plugs look good! No frayed, cut or chewed cables or cords. No moisture, dirt or spillage near or on the equipment, telephone, jacks, etc.

Let's reboot your modem first. Unplug your modem from the power source. Wait 30 seconds & plug it back in. This can take a few minutes. Wait until everything is up and running, no flashing lights, etc. do you have an error message on your modem? Try your telephone & see if you have dial tone. If it is still not working you need to verify that it is not a telephone problem. Unplug the phone & if possible plug in another telephone that you know is in working order. If this phone does not work, then it is not the telephone. Plug your telephone directly in to the telephone jack outlet in the back of your modem. If it works, then it is your jack or wiring from the telephone to the modem that has a problem. If it still does not work, try rebooting your modem once again with nothing plugged in to the modem telephone jack. Do you have any error messages? Do you have Call Answer? If so, can you retrieve your messages from another line? E.g. Mobile device. If so, do so. Plug everything back in.E.g. telephone cords, jacks modem, etc.

If there is still no dial tone or you are getting a fast busy or message on your modem, after completing all of the above, please contact Bell Tech Support at 310-BELL or 1-866-310-BELL or #611 from any Bell mobile device.

Constant fast busy

After upgrading from a Bell landline to Fibe, we are at times experiencing a fast busy signal on our phone. I unplug the phone and leave it unplugged, occasionally checking the line. It returns to normal usually within a day or two. The most recent occurrence has lasted 3 days. I've unplugged the modem (Giga model), waited 5 minutes and plugged it back in. Once it comes back up, I still have a fast busy. I've plugged a phone directly into the back of the modem and get a dial tone. I tried the virtual troubleshooting tool with no luck. All of the phone wires at the connection block look OK.
