Thanks for the response. We have a Panasonic answering machine as part of the wireless phone system in the house. We don't use any Bell call answering features or caller its ID services.

I'll keep monitoring to see if the Missed Call messages only appear after the phone rings. I doubt it.

After we switched from a copper home phone line to fibre optic, our phone keeps flagging "Missed call" entries.

Any idea what can be done about this?

Thank you for your question. Can you say more about flagging “Missed Call” means? Has a call been received? Does the phone actually ring? Is this a wired or wireless phone the message is visible on?

Good Day.

Do you have Call Answer as a feature on your Home phone service? Does your telephone include an answering device?

Have you reviewed the setup & instructions for your Bell voice mail? Have you adjusted your device settings for the number of rings?

To adjust the number of rings before call answer picks up, dial *94 and listen for 3 beeps. Enter the number of rings you want there to be before switching to Call Answer (minimum 2 rings, 1 ring is not an option). Listen for two confirmation beeps, like a busy signal.

Please refer to the following documentation.

How to use Call Answer on my Bell Home phone : What is Call Answer?

Thank you reaching out to the Bell Community Forum.

Take care.

Thanks for the response. This ifibre optic home phone system upgraded from copper with several wireless Panasonic phones that display "Missed Call". We don't subscribe to caller ID. '

The bogus messages seem to be random, every few hours and not necessarily related to any incoming calls.
