Good Day & Welcome.

Thank you reaching out to the community.

You mentioned that you have a new Vtech cordless phone that is showing messages but there aren't any messages being recorded recordings. Which model of VTech cordless do you have?

Have you followed the initial setup for your cordless phone?

Have you charged the cordless batteries as indicated in your user manual?

Verify the Date & Time are setup on your device.

Are you going to be using the cordless phone or Bell Call Answer to record your missed calls?

Do you have Bell Call Answer activated on your Home phone line? If so, please verify your Call Answer settings & adjust accordingly.

Have you also turned your cordless phone answering service setting to "On" or "Off"?

If you are using a cordless answering phone & also have Bell Home phone call answer, you will need to decide on which method would be your preferred choice to record your missed calls. You cannot use both without encountering further message errors. You will need to turn one or the other off.

Please refer to your Vtech manual provided to set how many rings you would like callers to hear before your Vtech or Bell Online Voice Mail picks up.

I have included this Bell Call Answer weblink which will walk you through the setup for your Online Voice Mail.

How to use Online Voice Mail for my Bell Home phone : What is Online Voice Mail?

Take care.
