Hello again

For some reason every incoming call is showing as unknown # on my landline. Not sure if this is a Bell or V-Tech problem, so I am following up with both.

Bell first - I have Call Display but keep seeing Unkown Number. Can you help?

Thank you for posting your question.

Is this a new phone and or feature that has been recently added to your Bell Home phone service? What is the model number of your VTech phone? Have you referred to the user manual?

As a starting point, unplug your VTech main base from the power outlet and the telephone wall jack. Leave it unplugged for at least 1 minute, then plug it back in to reset the connection.

Many modern VTech phones feature a Smart Call Blocker that intercepts incoming home calls and screens them. If this is set to the most restrictive profile, it may be hiding your normal calls.

Press CALL BLOCK on your VTech handset or telephone base.
Scroll to Set profile and press SELECT.
Choose Allow unknown (or a less restrictive profile) to ensure all incoming calls are permitted to ring through normally without being screened.

If the above does not resolve this issue, you may need to contact Bell Customer Service - Home phone to have this feature reset on your home phone line.

Vtech is okay, has to be my Call Display. Still having issue. Have to find out how to look into this with Bell

I wish there was something further I could do for you, but there is little I can on to resolve this for you on this website.

As I previously suggested, if the settings in your Vtech do not resolve your "Unknow caller" display issue, you may need to contact Bell Home phone tech support to have this feature reset on your home phone line.

Please contact Bell Home phone tech support at: 1 866 310-BELL (2355) or dial #611 from any Bell mobile device.

7 days a week: 6 a.m. – 11 p.m.
