I assume you are referencing the the VIP 5662W 4K Whole Home PVR

The USB 3.0 port on the back of the receiver is reserved for use by a Bell technician during the initial setup & also used when it it is returned to Bell to be reconfigured. It is not a connection for an external drive.

I have included a link that describes the VIP 5662W controls on the front and back panels of the receiver.

What do I need to know about the controls on the front and back panels of my 4K Whole Home PVR (bell.ca)

Thank you for your question.

Take care.

There is a USB port on the rear of my Fibe 4K receiver. I assume this is for an external drive, but I can't find a manual for the receiver. Am I right?
