He would have to have a separate account and fibre optic line, I believe, at the least. Kind of like having Bell and a cable provider.

You have to bundle. It's technically an IPTV service but with cable-like business model, not a streaming model.

So a bundle costs ? A lot ?? I just subscribed to bell mobility with my cell phone for 85 / month And I don't need another subscription internet

I have internet on my cell But I just wanted that bell tv app ,so I can watch on my laptop before bed .

since im not home to often , until night .

so there is no way around

Getting the bell tv app , on my cell. ?? Without paying for bloat ware services?

So i would have to subscribe to my cell subscription , home internet fiber and fibe tv?

I would rather have one bill from bell mobility with one , add on Bell fibe tv app . I guess that is too complicated for bell services??

We’re seniors trying to consolidate some services as we don’t use them as much now and it’s become too expensive for our pension.

I’d like to keep my Bell TV package but cancel my home Fibe Internet … which the TV draws from. Is there a way to use my cell Internet to connect to my TV box rather than just watch it on my computer? Thanks so much.

Thank you for your question. Yes, it is possible, BUT be aware that your cellular access to the internet uses data. Depending on your cell data package, you would be very likely to rapidly run into an over use and incur significant additional charges. When I have done that, as an experiment, the quality of video on the TV was not great, either. You would also require a video adapter for your cell phone. Apple makes one for iPhones. It’s a difficult decision, to be sure, but the data charges would potentially be the biggest down side with poor video quality being another.

Good Day.

Technically it is possible. They are separate services. You can subscribe to one without having the other.

From a pricing perspective, it may be more cost effective to keep both services with the same supplier. You will still need to have a Bell modem. You should discuss this further with the internet supplier that you are considering.

If you have a Bell email account, in order to keep it, you will need to have a Bell Internet account as well.

Have you looked at your current Fibe TV & Internet package to see if you can possibly adjust & reduce some of your costs by making some changes to them?

Have you contacted Bell Customer Service & discussed your account & services with them to see if they can offer up some suggestions?

Good Day.

In order to answer your question, you would need to provide us with a lot more information.

Technically it is possible. It will depend on the Bell TV service you wish to subscribe to how you plan or wish to watch Fibe TV. E.g. Fibe Tv box, Bell Streamer, phone, tablet, computer, at home and away, etc.

They are separate services. You can subscribe to one without having the other.

From a pricing perspective, it may be more cost effective to keep both services with the same supplier. You will still need to have a Bell modem.

It is best that you contact Bell Customer Service. They are better equipped to answer your question from a cost and TV / Internet pricing perspective. They are there to work with & for you to best meet your needs & requirements. Call: 1 866 310-BELL (2355) or dial *611 from any Bell mobile device.

Thank you for posting your question.

Take care.

Good Day.

Thank you for your reply. To answer your first question, you cannot just buy the Fibe TV app service without subscribing to Fibe Internet.. Cellular data is not quite the same as internet.

A Fibe Internet package is required in order to have Fibe TV service. Your mobile device when accessed from your home is connected to your Bell Fibe Internet. It is connecting by way of your home Wi-Fi. To do so, you require Internet service & a Bell modem. When you use your mobile device on the go, you are accesing the wide world web & all of your applications by way of your cellular service. You are using cellular data. You also have the ability to connect to another Wi-Fi network if one is available.

You can subscribe to Crave TV as an add-on that can be used with your mobility device. You can get access to Crave directly through Bell Mobility with a monthly subscription on your Bell bill.
Enjoy the Crave content library, including thousands of hours of the best series and movies from Crave, HBO, Max, Showtime and more.

Take care.

Good Day.

In order to assist in answering your question, can you please provide us with further details in terms of what you are trying to achieve with the equipment that you do have?

Are you looking to convert & use your existing Cable TV wiring for Fibe TV?

The Bell Fibe TV / Internet Home Hub modem is a gateway modem/ router. You cannot directly connect a Bell Fibe TV modem to a cable modem/router; they are designed for different types of TV & Internet connections (fiber optic vs. cable) and require separate setups.

It is possible to substitute coaxial cable for ethernet wiring using a Coax-to-Ethernet Adapter.

Please elaborate & we will do our best to help you.

Take care.
