Fibe TV web - exiting full screen menu

when i'm in recording and i select a show, the show comes up in a smaller window. when the show has finished it returns to the smaller window. somehow i hit something on the keyboard and now the window comes up full screen.

how do i get it to go back to the original smaller window.

If you are using Fibe TV with a browser, can select full screen within the viewing window. To return to the original size window you need to Press the Esc key on your keyboard to exit from full screen. This will return you to your original sized window.

Does this only happen when you watch a recording, or does it also occur when you watch live TV? What type of web browser are you using (Chrome, Edge, Fire Fox), and can you test in a different browser?

Can you also try pressing "F11" on your keyboard (this toggles the full screen)?

i tried F11 and it works, but it is a browser function. what i am looking for is within fibe app itself. i tried a different browser and it does not change. and the Esc key does not do anything. the tv channel has always opened full screen. unless you click on a future show, which then would normally come up with a smaller window. i can't try this at the moment, as i'm not at home.

you can see here a generic image, of the smaller window in the app. mine now goes full screen.

Good Day.

I have been able to recreate the scenario you have presented & it appears that you the are trying to control & combine Fibe TV with windows keyboard shortcut keys.

Fibe TV is designed to operate with the keys as shown within the program. If you mix and match window keyboard shortcut keys with Fibe TV, you end up with the situation that you have described in your original post & subsequent replies.

You can use one or the other. You can not mix and match & use both.

When you open up Fibe TV within a browser window it takes on the sizing of the window. This is normal. If you wish to resize the browser window, you can do so. F11 will revert & return you back to your original browser window. It has nothing to do with Fibe TV. It only controls the browser window sizing.

When you are viewing Fibe TV, it can be viewed in the size of the window that your have opened up within your browser. To view in Full screen, you must select full screen within the Fibe TV window. (Full screen button) This masks the browser window behind Fibe TV. To revert back to your original browser window sizing for Fibe TV, you must select the Esc key. If you use the F11 key, it will return you back to your previous browser window.

I have included the following that will partially explain some of the functions of Keyboard shortcuts in Windows.

For example:

The F11 key is a function key at the top of almost all computer keyboards. This key is used to Enter and exit full screen mode in all modern Internet browsers. Pressing F11 toggles the full-screen mode, allowing you to expand the browser window to fill the entire screen and hide other elements of the operating system.

The F12 key serves as a shortcut to open developer tools in most web browsers. Additionally, F12 can be used for other purposes in different applications, like opening the "Save As" dialog box in Microsoft Office programs.

The Esc is a key found on the top-left corner of a computer keyboard. It allows the user to abort, cancel, or close an operation. It is also used for any number of other functions. E.g. Close or resize a fullscreen window ,close menu, popup window, keyboard shortcut, etc.

To summarize, Fibe TV is doing exactly what it was designed to do. Windows is also operating as it is was intended when Keyboard shortcuts are being utilized in a browser window with Fibe TV.
