hello, can I increase guide text size with my equipment, or must I get bell to supply proper equipment?

There is no option currently to increase the guide text size on the VIP7802.

Community Moderators must review and approve all uploaded images before they can be displayed. Although you can see your uploaded images that are awaiting approval, other community members who view your images can only see the ones that have been approved.

Your earlier post was in reference to the VIP7802. Is this post related to the Bell Streamer? If so, you can not increase the text size on either of these.

Just installed Bell Fibe TV. Is there a way to increase the font / size of the menu when viewing? Also, if I've scrolled ahead to see what is on a certain channel this evening - lets say 9:00 - 10:00 pm..... and I want to see another channel... when i enter that channel it takes me back to the current time and I have to scroll ahead 2, 3, 4, 5 .... hours. Why does it stay in that time period?

Welcome to the Bell Community. We're excited to hear that you are a new Fibe TV subscriber, and we appreciate any feedback 🙂

You are not currently able to modify font size in the TV Guide.

When you have scrolled ahead in the guide, to stay within that future time slot, simply scroll up/down within the Guide to see what will be airing (instead of inputting the TV channel number).

You can scale text up to 30% bigger on the Streamer in Device Preferences under Display and Audio. I assume that’s because it’s running Android 12 and the VIP is still at Android 10. Once they update the VIP to the latest Android 12-based firmware, which is being trialed, I assume you’ll have that option there as well.

I am a new Bell Fibe subscriber. I find the font in the guide so small that I can’t read it without squinting or getting up and standing close to the TV while navigating.

I’ve tried to find the setting to increase the font size but have had no luck.

Such a basic function that I cannot imagine that you can’t do this??

Is there a way to make the text size larger on the fibe tv guide?
My mother is vision impaired and finds the text a little too small to read comfortably.

2 Annoying Questions I am obliged to ask Mother Bell:

For Ontario and TV modem #7802

Q1 - Is it possible to increase the font size of the Fibe TV guide? Want Guide to be easy to read.

Q2 - Is it possible to NOT SEE all the "back channels" or unsubscribed channels that I do not get?

If the answer to both of these is NO - then I will switch back to Cogeco which allows both above.

Bell online shows Manitoba can do these functions with what looks like a different Fibe Settings menu.

Weird that is.

Q1 - Fibe TV text size: There is no option currently available to increase the Guide text size on the VIP7802. Q2 - NOT SEE all the "back channels" or unsubscribed channels: Yes, it possible to hide channels that you do not subscribe to. You can program the Fibe TV remote to show only your subscribed channels as well as program your favorite stations for easy viewing.

I have attached the following web link that will provide you with these details. Open the web page. This will take you to: Fibe TV Voice Remote: Step-by-step tutorials. You will now be presented with a number of sections that provide details on: How to do’s & tutorials, etc.

You will want to view the section related to: Watching shows with your Fibe TV Voice Remote. Select the subsections: Customizing the channel guide & Managing a favorites channel list.
