Good Day.
The VIP7802 is the Bell Cloud PVR box. Recordings are stored on the Bell server. It is the newest Bell Fibe TV receiver. The Cloud PVR takes the recording functionality away from an internal hard drive in the set-top box and is instead stored in the cloud. This means that recordings are available anywhere on any supported device and there is no risk of losing recordings due to set-top box failure. It lets you store up to 320 hours of recordings, regardless of resolution, for up to 60 days. Cloud PVR is a virtual addition to your physical Fibe TV receiver. Depending on your TV service, you may be able to use voice commands to set recordings.

The VIP5662w is a 4K PVR that includes a hard drive that stores your recordings for playback.

The Bell Streamer is a Bell-operated Android TV device that includes all of the benefits & more that are included in the Fibe TV app. It can be used in lieu of the Fibe TV app & is connected to the HDMI port of one of your televisions. It lets you watch and enjoy your favourite content on the big screen. It is a streamer.

Take care.

I currently have VIP 5662 which is a whole home PVR. Is the VIP 7802 an upgraded 4K receiver or just the Bell streamer that has been around for a couple of years and offered free to Bell Fibe customers? Bell is advertising it as their best 4K receiver. I’m a little confused.

@abcdIf your VIP 5662 still has the same old user interface, my suggestion is keep it for now. Bell has and "upgraded" user interface on the VIP 7802 which is horrible for a PVR. They made the PVR interface like the app but with arrow button navigation as opposed to a multi-touch screen like on a phone or tablet.

If Bell would even consider it I would go back to a VIP 5662 or the old user interface of the VIP 7802, but Bell has imposed the "upgrade" on everyone. Take a look at this thread

Great News Your Fibe TV service is getting an upgrade

to to see what many of us are saying regarding the famous "upgrade". We'll see if Bell gives any head to these complaints and attempts to improve the experience with the VIP 7802 which is currently horrible.
