    <title>topic No Signal Message on Satellite TV - Error 002 / 015 in TV &amp; Streaming</title>

    <description>&lt;P&gt;Watching Tv on Bell9400 and the system stopped working. The system was searching for a transponder/sat signal. Weather was calm outside and sat disk looked a-ok.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;1. Went into menu and install to verify sat signal, all good at 96%, correct sat.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;2. checked my other system, yup, ok at 96% and working just fine, no interruption.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;3. Unplugged power to 9400, waited 30 sec and plugged power back in. Did the same as previous, searching for sat. Did power cycle again and pulled card and placed back after 30&amp;nbsp; sec. Same searching for sat.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;4. Contacted Bell via online chat. after a bunch of redundant steps the chat person told me to contact help and provided a phone number and provided a file no.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;5. attempted to contact help. No one would answer cause I could not provide an error code as to proceed with the menu to talk to a person. Ok. No sat for the evening. Status showing signals on system and switch ok, all ok.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;6. Next day, at switch box, switched coax line to working switch output. (unplugged ac power, then plugged back in ) same as previous, with searching. But, other Bell system searching as well, 2 systems down.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;7. re plugged coax to switch box as to original, 9400 started working and other system works with the infamous jitter and stutter of the 9241. ( yeah, go to 5xx )&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;So, what was the problem ?&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I would love to have the time to have Bell diagnose, but is there someone in the community that may have a similar issue / fix ? If it wasn't winter, I would check continuity of cables ?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I will assume weather is not a factor &amp;amp; that there is no foliage blocking the LNB from receiving the satellite signal.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You mentioned that you completed all of the trouble shooting &amp;amp; nothing still works. Here is a checklist that I put together. Have a look at it &amp;amp; verify that you have not possibly missed one of these suggestions:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1.&amp;nbsp;Loose/missing connections: Check that the cable coming from the satellite dish is connected to&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Satellite In&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;on the back of your receiver. Dual tuner receivers need one cable connected to each of the&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Satellite In&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;spots at the back of your receiver.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2.&amp;nbsp;Reset your receiver: On most models, simply hold the&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;POWER&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;button on the front of your receiver for 5 to 8 seconds. Allow the receiver to turn on, search for the satellite signal and download the guide. (&lt;SPAN&gt;During this process, it is normal to see Error 015 on your TV screen.)&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;3.&amp;nbsp;Check your power inserter:&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;If you have an HD PVR or multiple receivers on your account, you may have a device called a power inserter to power your satellite installation. Check to ensure it is still plugged into a power outlet.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;4. Signal Test: Have you tested your signal strength on HD 9241 PVR? Here is a link that will show you how to do this:&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://support.bell.ca/tv/receivers/9241_hd_pvr_plus_receiver.how_to_check_the_strength_of_the_wifi_signal_on" target="_blank"&gt;How to check the strength of the Wi-Fi signal on your 9241 HD PVR Plus receiver (bell.ca)&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;4. Have you checked the Smartcard. Have you checked for dirt, cracks, etc. on the card. Is it inserted &amp;amp; seated properly?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;5. Have you tried resetting your receiver to Factory Defaults?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="https://support.bell.ca/TV/Receivers/How_to_reset_your_Bell_Satellite_TV_receiver_to_the_factory_default_settings" target="_blank"&gt;How to reset your Bell Satellite TV receiver to the factory default settings&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;If after verifying that all of these steps were checked &amp;amp; your problem has not been resolved, I would then contact Bell Satellite TV Support at: &lt;STRONG&gt;1-888-759-3474.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Note:&lt;/STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp;Be sure to let the customer support representative know if you have already tried resetting your receiver.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Please keep us updated on the Bell Community Forum.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;It is certainly unfortunate that your Satellite TV service has been temporarily interrupted &amp;amp; is being affected by the inclement weather.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Have you gone outside &amp;amp; checked that there is no ice or snow build up on your satellite dish? Are there any fallen trees or branches that have broken off blocking your signal? Your satellite dish; is it stationary, in a fixed position &amp;amp; have you checked that it has not shifted with the wind or snow?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Weather conditions is not something that Bell Satellite TV can control. Mother nature plays a bigger role in determining the quality of signal during severe winter storm conditions.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Bell is not responsible for failing to meet obligations due to causes beyond it's reasonable control. E.g. Weather, Blackout periods, etc.&amp;nbsp;Any refund or credit for interruptions or unavailability would be entirely at their discretion&lt;SPAN&gt;.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;You can try reaching out to Bell Satellite TV.       <description>&lt;P&gt;As usual, every time we have a little bit of weather, the satellite loses signal. I'm tired of it. Time for me to move on. During one loss of reception, the 'tech' advised me to climb a ladder to my roof to wipe off the dish, in the middle of a snow storm yet. I'm a senior and climbing a ladder is the silliest suggestion on the planet. I have had satellite in another town, plenty of storms, no loss of reception. Perhaps bell would like to pay for my on line streaming. $25 / month off my bill might cover it.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am also getting signal is temporarily unavailable error 002 more and more lately I I&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;have done lots of the &amp;nbsp;trouble shooting they recommend and getting very upset &amp;nbsp;and it only comes up on certain channels &amp;nbsp; I am looking at leaving bell for good &amp;nbsp;as I am super disappointed and tired of this happening over the last couple years&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;What type of TV receiver do you have, and can you clarify which troubleshooting steps you have tried so far?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Do you get error 002 on all of the receivers in your home, or just a certain one?&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Receivers are 9241 hd p v r &amp;nbsp;there so not much we can do besides restarting them and checking cables. &amp;nbsp; Had the problem before I installed a whole home audio system and still have the problem after &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Have also gone outside and checked cables to the dish which seems archaic now that everything is streaming digital online&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you for your concern. Have you checked to see what your actual signal strength is through the receiver? It may be your dish is out of alignment. For those without streaming ability, Bell Satellite TV is very useful, but like all technology, can have issues. You can also use the My Bell app on a tablet or on a PC or Mac as a web page, if you wish.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I use to love bell but last 3 years not so much and what’s funny when you say to use the app in Apple TV which I have switched over to I dot get all the channels I get when using the satellite. Bell seems to be turning into a terrible product lately . If you want me to stay with Bell come fix it for free. &amp;nbsp;If not I am leaving after 12 years of paying you 125 bucks a month and only watch 5% of the &amp;nbsp;channels cause most of them are garbage. &amp;nbsp;Hate to be negative but bell needs a reboot with their own company. I bet your losing subscribers left right and centre with all the issues I see folks are having . I want my money back for the last year. It’s been bad TV&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
