Why is MSNOW not available on Fibe?

MSNBC changed their name to MSNOW today. I can no longer get MSNOW on channel 1588.

I do get MSNOW on channel 1588 on satellite, but not on internet Fibe.

If MSNOW (formerly MSNBC) is part of your Bell TV subscription, it is available on Channel 1588 on Bell Satellite TV and on Channel 1506 on Fibe TV.

It is not available on internet streaming, which is available when you subscribe to satellite services.

All the channels on internet streaming are the same as the satellite service. They are not the same as theFibe TV channels.

The channels on internet streaming are not the same as Fibe TV. There is no channel 1506 on internet streaming. MSNBC was on channel 1588 yesterday. Today 1588 is no longer showing in the channel favourites or the channel listings. MSNOW channel 1588 is showing on my satellite service.

It appears to me that Bell forgot to change the channel name on the internet streaming service.

Thank you for your question. The information found in the guides, both Fibe and Satellite is not managed by Bell. It is provided by the service distributor or network. It is also not a manual process but fed by computer. The services are also separate. When the network changes the name, it will appear in your guide. It is MSNOW on Satellite and still MSNBC on the Fibe app.

I am having Bell Fibe installed Tuesday Nov 25). MSNBC or MSNOW is a must have for my wife. I have included it in my programming with Bell Fibe Better package at a cost of an extra $4 per month. Sounds like it will be available using a Ball receiver but not with the Bell Fibe App. I can live with that but if it's not available with the receiver I am done.

When MSNBC changed its name to MSNOW, neither name was available on the Fibe App for 2 days. After 2 days, it was available as MSNBC. It is now available as MSNOW.
