Can I do a self install of Satellite dish & receiver?

is there a way to get a dish and receiver without having to go through the nonsense of talking to reps. been talking to different reps, at different levels about having equipment shipped and/or installed at my house and so far we have had no luck.

I am not sure of your question. Can you install it yourself? I have always found Bell sales people easy to deal with. You could visit a Bell store, if you know what your needs are, perhaps.

I can do the self install, however, when talking to the Bell reps on the phone, they have repeatedly informed me that self install is not an option and they would have a professional come install the equipment. To date, I have been told this over half a dozen times and no one has come to do the install. Each time there is a different excuse from the credit check going wrong to they don't have anyone in the area. Bell will also not ship any of the equipment for me to attempt a self install.

The nearest Bell store (only 1 where I live) doesn't have any equipment except remotes, nor could they advise on where to get the equipment. I am trying to find a place that would be able to ship the equipment, and I could do the install myself. I have found the receiver a few provinces away that could be shipped. Finding a good dish that will match a new receiver has been the issue because Bell has told me that the older dishes aren't compatible with the newer receivers.

The technician will bring the satellite dish to your home and will ensure that it is properly installed and configured.
If you are an existing Bell Satellite TV customer, you can install additional receivers that you have purchased yourself. We recommend that HD PVRs be installed professionally due to their complexity.
If you are renting your receivers, a professional install is always required.

Bell may request a credit check. If you are paying your bills in full & on time, then there would be no real reason for you to worry about a credit check. where may purchase a larger dish such as 83 cm or larger

i have a 20 “ dish that replaced a larger one it worked forvabout 3 weeks lost signal

I only see 20 inc they sell for bell sat . I looked online . I think that is the standard . I could be wrong . And I assuming . Might have to get replacement one . Cause I think it only one bell uses these days .

Have you checked if dish is pointed the wright way . And check the signal and phone bell to see if you can change to a different sat. I hate to ask these questions sometimes it can be that too .

Have you contacted Bell Satellite TV?

If your dish is damaged or needs replacement, contact Bell Satellite TV customer support to arrange for a technician to install a new one as part of your service.

You can purchase a 50.8cm dish from Amazon Canada. There are very few other suppliers with compatible satellite dishes available for purchase from within Canada.

i need help i have trying to a a 30 inch sat dish

i have been try to get one through bell numerous hours on the phone with numerous bell reps

i haven't had any luck with bell they keep sending me the 20 inch dish that will not work in northwest bc

i have no luck with bell as they try to help any leads on a larger dish would be appreciated

How do I connect a second receiver? I have one in my family room currently and would like to have my second receiver set up with the television in my rec room.

Do you have a second receiver that you have previously purchased or are you looking to add a second receiver to your Bell Fibe TV account that needs to be activated?

You can purchase or rent additional receivers on MyBell. Select > TV service. Select > Order your receiver. Choose whether you want to rent or purchase. Rental is: $10.00/mon. Purchase is: $199.00/mon. If you order one receiver, the Installation fee $150.00. The second receiver is an additional $50.00. You can choose between Bell install & self-install. The installation fee is the same for both types on installations.

I have the second receiver and it has been activated. I do not have bell fibe in my area. Do I need to connect it to my satellite and if so how would I go about that?
