NASCAR moved to TSN+

Why has Bell Media moved NASCAR races to TSN+? Today will be the first time in over 10 years that I have not been able to watch the NASCAR race. Why do NASCAR fans now have to pay a premium? Apparently profit is more important than customer service1!!

Yes, starting with the 2025 season, Bell Media is the exclusive home for NASCAR in Canada, and many races and qualifying sessions have moved to TSN+.

Here is the breakdown of how to watch NASCAR in Canada as of 2025-2026:

TSN+: Hosts live coverage of all three national series (Cup, Xfinity, and Craftsman Truck Series), particularly when they are not aired on linear television. Some races are exclusive to the streaming platform.
Linear TSN Channels (1-5): Will still show select Cup Series races.
CTV/CTV2: Will air select races.
USA Network (Canada): Will broadcast some Truck Series and Xfinity races.
REV TV: Acts as the host broadcaster for the NASCAR Canada Series.

Note: In some cases, such as the 2026 Las Vegas weekend, Cup races have been listed exclusively on TSN+ rather than linear TV.

I agree, this is not cool! I have been with Bell satellite years, but not for long. I spend alot of money to watch nascar and can't afford to subscribe to TSN+ too.

Bell has no control over what their providers program. If you have programming concerns, contact the providers directly. Please also remember that programming is controlled by contracts with the originating networks and governing bodies such as NASCAR, NHL, MLB and more.

Why was the question? Why is the nascar fan forced to pay additional monies to simply watch a race? F1 gets hours of coverage while three other TSN channels run reruns, and NASCAR watchers have to miss post race interviews, and have to pay a premium to watch races defined by bell??

Perhaps I can state it more clearly. Why is it this way? Channel programming such as NASCAR races is determined by program providers such as NASCAR and delivered through broadcasters such as TSN. The broadcasts are governed by legal contracts, which spell out what is to be broadcast. Bell TV is just the carrier of TSN and has no control over TSN content. NASCAR and TSN also want diehard fans like yourself to pay extra for added content. This is how they hope to make money. Every major sport does the same thing, including the NHL, MLB, the NBA and more. Express your concern, as a NASCAR fan, directly to NASCAR and perhaps to TSN, not to Bell TV. Or perhaps to make it even more clear, "Don't shoot the messenger".

this is completely unacceptable that they take Nascar off the air and keep horse racing and curling on. We have inet/phone/cable through bell and are looking elsewhere for alternatives.

Bell is legally obligated to abide by restrictions set by sports leagues, team owners, or third-party license holders.

Bell has no control over what their providers program. Some events have recently moved to premium or digital-only platforms. Yes, certain NASCAR races have moved to TSN+, meaning they are no longer available on standard linear channels. If you have programming concerns, contact the providers directly.

Channel programming is determined by program providers and delivered through broadcasters such as TSN, Sportsnet, Fox, etc.

Aside from this, as one of my colleagues @dks mentioned previously:

Bell TV is just the carrier of TSN and has no control over TSN content.
Every major sport does the same thing, including the NHL, MLB, the NBA and more.
Express your concern, as a NASCAR fan, directly to NASCAR and perhaps to TSN, not to Bell TV.

Unfortunately, it is what it is and there is little else we can do to change this.

Been a Bell satellite customer for 30 yrs. No nascar! No bell. 1/2 a million $ in Bell shares gone! $400 a month in phones gone! Internet already gone. When you don't look after your customers somebody else will.

Bell TV television / networks, CTV / CTV2, broadcast select NASCAR races.

The NASCAR Cup Series, Goodyear 400 at Darlington, is available for viewing on CTV2 channels 1202, 1257, 1258, 1259, & 1260 on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. ET. on Fibe TV and the Fibe TV app.

It is also available on Bell Satellite, CTV2 channels: 202, 219, 1054, 256, 1154.

Another issue I have with TSN+ is that I can't record live streaming. Due to the various starting times for races I cannot watch them live. So, why pay for TSN+? I guess I'm out of luck.

You are absolutely correct. TSN+ is a live streaming service without a built-in PVR / DVR recording function.

TSN+ apps do not allow recording to a PVR for later viewing. While some events are available on demand shortly after they air, you cannot save them to a personal library for later, nor can you pause or rewind live feeds in the same way as you can on Bell Fibe TV.

Many events on TSN+ are exclusive to the live feed, meaning if you miss it live, it cannot be watched later.
