      <title>HDPVR not powering on</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi, I am struggling to figure out why my PVR won't turn on. I have tried unplugging it and waiting to plug it back in, and have checked to make sure that both ends are properly plugged in. Despite the fact that it shows no sign of life, the box does heat up when plugged in, which tells me that it is at least receiving power.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Of note: The Bell Remote does work. When I press the power button, the remote lights up green. The problem seems to be with the box itself which does not show any lights at all.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Any idea what the issue might be?&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Both ends? U mean both ends of the power cable and also the hdmi cable right? And did u check u if the corresponding source on TV was selected? Make sure u plugged in the right USB outlet.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Something definitely seems wrong! Can you share which receiver model you have?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;As &lt;a href="https://forum.bell.ca/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/5197"&gt;@AlexS&lt;/a&gt; suggested, did you select the correct HDMI source via your TVs video settings?&amp;nbsp;Have you tried a different power outlet/tested the equipment on another TV? Is the HDMI cord plugged in securely to both the TV and receiver?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;If this issue continues &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;our Virtual repair tool is a great way to troubleshoot! &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;The Virtual repair tool will:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Patricia, hello and thank you! As for the model I have, it's the&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;VIP5662 - 4K Whole Home PVR. Running through your suggestions:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;1. I did make sure to use the correct HDMI source. Just for fun I tried with all sources, to see if I hadn't accidentally mixed something up, but it did not work for any.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;2. I do not unfortunately have another TV to test it on, but for reference, I use an NVidia Shield along with my PVR, and tried swapping which outlet they were plugged into; The Shield still powered on fine, but the PVR did not. I have double checked to make sure each ends of the HDMI and power cord are properly plugged in.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I will try out using the virtual repair tool, thank you for bringing it to my attention! If all goes well my next response will bring good news. &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Please elaborate.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Have you verified all of the cables are seated properly in the back of the receiver? No loose, unplugged or defective cables.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;When you power on the TV, what do you see? Is your HDMI making a good connection on the back of the TV? Have you tried unplugging it &amp;amp; replacing it? Have you verified that the the TV &amp;amp; receiver or connected to correct HDMI port?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Is your modem powered on? Any error messages?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Have you rebooted your modem? Unplugged the power &amp;amp; waited 20-30 seconds?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Have you rebooted your receiver after rebooting your modem?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Do you have more than one TV &amp;amp; receiver? If so, are they working?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Do you Internet? Power light? Blue light? Receiver green link bars &amp;amp; light?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Does you TV power on?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Are you using a power bar? If so, check to see if power is at the plug &amp;amp; that it is turned on?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Have you checked your Remote control batteries?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Are cables secured &amp;amp; attached to the pvr &amp;amp; TV?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Are all of the cables in good condition? HDMI ?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Have you tried to unplug the PVR from the power source. The receiver not powering on is not necessarily related to your service suspension.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please make sure that all electrical connections are properly plugged in, including the receiver, all the way to the outlet. Check your breaker panel to ensure it has not tripped.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You do not say what receiver you have, but power on your receiver and your TV separately. Hold the Power button down to reboot the receiver. Do not use the remote for the receiver at first.
