Good Day & Welcome.

Fibe TV has evolved to a cloud-based storage system for all your recordings. It lets you store up to 320 hours of recordings, regardless of resolution, for up to 60 days. Cloud PVR is a virtual addition to your physical Fibe TV receiver.

To keep recordings longer, you generally cannot extend the 60-day cloud limit; instead, you must watch recordings within that window. You’ll get a reminder 15 days before a recording expires.

Once you reach 320 hours, your recordings will start to be deleted, beginning with the oldest.

If you have any other Bell PVR box, your recordings storage remain unchanged.

For the Fibe TV app specifically, recording retention on the app has remained unchanged at 60 days and is unrelated to the set top box you have.

Take care.

Thank you for the information. It is very well appreciated. Still wish there was a way to get more than 60 days

Hi @Hutchpierre

Thank you for your gracious reply. I wish there was something further I could offer up to you as a quick fix or solution to extend the 60 day limit for saving recordings.

Unfortunately, it is not possible at this time. As it is with everything in life these days, TV viewing & technology is continually changing.
I can only suggest to you that you stay tuned.

Take care.

This is why I am not moving to Fibe casue you can not buy older Fibe box or example Telus tv optick box that has a hard drive they are not going to let you use a older box with hard drive in it .

Everything is in the cloud . And why people are going to the sat. You can only record two shows at a time . But you keep your shows until you delete it . But was reading sat is dying . But there sat in sky was reading is good till 2029. Asked question will you ever shut it down and the answer I got was we’re committed to keeping it service . But have read they are making it hard to get it . But I see they are still advertising . So I also talked to a rep and she said a lot of people are going to sat from Fibe casue of 60 day thing . I say something casue I have had optick tv like Fibe and was not happy and used the sat from Telus tv was rebranded but using bells sat .

Thank you for sharing your thoughts & perspective on the Cloud PVR vs. Satellite TV.

Bell Fibe TV has evolved from traditional set-top box hardware to a cloud-based, app-driven streaming service, heavily focused with Cloud PVR storage.

TV viewing & technology are continually changing. I can only suggest to you that you stay tuned.

"Yesterday, today was tomorrow, and tomorrow, today will be yesterday."

We appreciate your feedback.

Take care.
