I have the same problem with a Sony Bravia 8 tv.Was working fine until June 11 now cannot access tv stations unless i power off the tv.

There is a setting to lower the streaming settings. Check the settings in the bell app under Video Quality.

I am having the same issue on my Bravia 8 as well since the latest Android TV OS update. I go to play content and I get a black screen for half a second then nothing plays and back to the menu

ive tried all troubleshooting steps including factory reset of the TV and no success. Very frustrating especially during the World Cup!!! Help!!!!

Same here. Tried everything and nothing works. Cleared cache, cleared data, re-installed the app multiple times, power-cycled the tv multiple times, factory reset tv, tried lowering the stream quality. Would be great to have this fixed especially with FIFA going on and the TV app being my only way to watch with the family.

Thank you for your questions. What is the way you are connecting to the internet? Wired ethernet cable? Wireless? I also have a Sony Bravia TV using wireless internet and the Fibe apps works after the recent Sony firmware upgrade. If you are using a wireless connection between the TV and the internet, try resetting the wireless internet connection. I had to do that once recently and since then, no issues. Let us know if that works.

Lately the app won't load channels on sony tv, when clicking the live channel it just beeps and refreshes the screen, when clicking a pre recorded show, does the same, nothing loads.

clear cache and data does not do anything, force stop on the app does not do anything

when i reset the TV through settings it works, but then it happens again periodically, resulting in a manual reset of the tv over and over

seems like there is some sort of glitch since a recent update?

I have the same problem as everyone else. Works intermittently. Have done full reboot of Bravia TV, have re-installed Bell Fibe App at least 10 times. Spoke with Level 2 tech support at Bell and they’ve escalated to IT dept since this is obviously a problem with integration between Bravia and Bell most likely caused by an update from one of the two. It’s now going on 4 days with no resolution or hope of resolution. I’ve spent at least 4 hours on calls with Bell and Sony….it takes 1/2 hr with Bell CSR just to authenticate my account…ridiculous. Hope someone at Bell decides to look into this, otherwise Roger’s or Videotron are getting a new customer.

same as all others, did everything including spending 60 minutes w SONY support, 3 decision levels, they said at the end watch other thing.......bell has to create a fix opr we go back to videotron. i am giving them a week....

Ditto with my Bravia 8. From the guide if I click on a program the screen blinks and beeps back to the guide. Doesn’t engage. I’ve also tried everything ChatGpt suggested.hard stop reinstalling hard booting etc. does Bell care?

I echo all of Hedgeman13, and I tried to change my Sony Bravia 8 Wifi connection, from one Network to my 2nd that is available. I also did the Forget Network and reconnected, NO JOY. Other APPs like FloBikes, Crave and Netflix work, just the FIBE TV APP !!?

Same problem here as with all posts. I can see the guide, but the channels don’t load when selected. Quick flicker with return to the guide. I’m using a wired connection. Brutal timing with FIFA. Other apps like Netflix, Disney+, etc all work.

Changing streaming quality has no effect in resolving the problem. The issue persists on All channels. I’m using a wired connection. I have the same issues as all other posts with channels not working. Hey @BellNick …any updates on the investigation? We still have a complete outage with the Bell Fibe App.

I also have this problem on my Bravia KD-55XR80: the Bell Fibe TV app logs in and the guide loads normally. Selecting any live TV, recording, or on-demand program causes a brief black screen before immediately returning to the guide. The same Bell account works on phones and tablets. Other streaming apps (Netflix, Prime Video, etc.) work correctly on the TV. I’ve already reinstalled the app, cleared cache and data, updated the TV software, restarted the TV, turned off eARC, verified the network and rebooted the modem (all of these at repeatedly and at different times) - everything short of a factory reset. Called tech support and they said there was nothing they could do use a different device!
I’m mirroring my iPad for now but I ordered TSN for the World Cup and I can’t believe this problem is unresolved since June 11!

One way to watch FIFA is to download the TSN app on Google Play on your Bravia 8.
