It always has been since at the latest in 2020 fall. Are you referring to the 4K option under the Streaming Quality section? It’s been there since last Nov. at the latest along with few other updates on the sys.

Two 4K Receivers

I recently purchased a second 4k tv and then found out to my surprise that I could only receive a 4k signal on the tv that was connected to the PVR. My new tv is therefore restricted to HD. Is this something that Bell is likely to be changing in the near future by replacing the HD receivers with non PVR 4k receivers?

I've just received the VIP5662 and VIP2502, with the understanding that BOTH would provide 4k (once the VIP5662 was set up). Is that correct, because I don't see anything on the VIP 2502, or in its materials, about providing 4k?

The VIP2502 does not provide 4K quality. Currently at this time only our VIP5662 & VIP7802 provide 4K quality.

Thanks. Have returned the additional receiver. But is it possible to run 4k on two TVs if one uses two 4k receivers?

If you are looking to have multiple receivers that can handle 4K content you would need to migrate to our newer receivers which is our VIP7802. The VIP5662 would need to be returned in exchange for the VIP7802. Should you decide to make this change, there are a few important things to note:

You will lose all current recordings you may have (so watch the content you need to before upgrading).
Recordings on the VIP7802 are Cloud based and there is a limit of 320 hours recorded and are only available for 60 days.
Any scheduled recordings you have set will migrate over (so you should not have to re-set them).
The rental cost of the initial VIP7802 is $18.00/month ($8.00 for the receiver and $10.00 for the Cloud PVR). Every additional VIP7802 is $8.00/month.
Self install or professional install are both available for the new receiver.
